About Kingswinford & District u3a
As the name suggests, we serve Kingswinford and the surrounding area, including Wall Heath, Pensnett and Wordsley. But wherever you live, you are welcome to join us if you like what we do and you want to be involved.
Like all u3as we are an independent, self-governing and self-financing charity.
We have to work within Charity Commission rules and keep to the principles of the u3a movement as set out nationally by the Third Age Trust – the national body that provides our core principles and vision, as well as educational and administrative support.
The Trust publishes a quarterly magazine called u3a matters which members may receive by post at no extra cost. Previously known as TAM – Third Age Matters

About u3a
u3a used to stand for ‘University of the Third Age’. But this was dropped as it was misleading, suggesting formal learning at a high level. This is not what we are about. Learn, Laugh and Live is now used to better describe what we do.
After years of working or bringing up a family, we offer an informal way to Learn by exploring new or renewed interests. We have around 30 groups, covering a wide range of subjects from architecture to playing ukulele.
All our groups and events have a strong social element. They offer a chance to Laugh and have a good time.
We offer many ways to get out and Live, rather than staying at home. Several of our groups are about keeping fit and well being.
